This is such an easy and satisfying recipe. The recipe and picture comes from Pillsbury. It takes very little time to prepare and would also be a good treat to serve to the Football fans in the family...I hope you will enjoy this.

Ingredients For taco melts

  • 1 pkg
    el paso taco seasoning mix
  • 2/3 c
    water
  • 1 c
    el paso thick n chunky salsa
  • 1 lb
    lean ground beef, cooked and drained
  • 1 can
    pillsbury grands bisquits
  • 1 c
    shredded mexican cheese blend
  • 1 c
    sour cream, optional

How To Make taco melts

  • 1
    1 Heat oven to 375°F. 2 In medium saucepan, cook taco seasoning mix, water, 1/2 cup of the salsa and cooked ground beef until thickened. 3 Press each biscuit into 6-inch round. Fill each with taco mixture and 1 tablespoon cheese. Fold dough over filling and press to seal. Place on greased cookie sheet. 4 Bake 9 to 14 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with remaining salsa, cheese and sour cream.
