taco dip
I make this as an appetizer for football parties or dinner for my family. Great anytime!
Blue Ribbon Recipe
This taco dip might not be beautiful when served, but after trying it, guests will fall in love. Adding taco seasoning to the browned ground beef starts the layers of flavors in this dip. Salsa adds a kick of flavor and balances the richness of the meat. Sour cream and cheese add a creamy texture. In every bite, there's a medley of flavors and texture - creamy, savory, zesty, and cheesy.

Ingredients
- 1 - 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 package taco seasoning mix (1.25 oz)
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 jar salsa, your fave kind (16 oz)
- 8 ounces sour cream
- 2 cups Mexican blend shredded cheese
- 1 package tortilla chips (Scoops work great for dips)
How To Make taco dip
-
Step 1Brown ground beef in a skillet; drain. directions.
-
Step 2Add taco seasoning and water. Cook according to the package.
-
Step 3In a 13x9 dish, spread out taco meat.
-
Step 4Pour salsa all over the top of the meat and spread out.
-
Step 5Repeat with sour cream. Sour cream is a little harder to spread without making a mess, so I usually drop spoonfuls all over and then spread it the best as I can.
-
Step 6Top with the shredded cheese. Serve immediately with chips.
