taco chili

I have won a few chili challenges with this recipe. The corn and the ranch powder sound so odd in here but they are the perfect addition to something that is already so yummy! Margarita or sangria compliment this meal nicely.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can black beans
  • 1 can pinto beans
  • 1 can kidney beans
  • 1 can petite diced tomatoes
  • 1 can rotel tomatoes with green chilis
  • 1 small chopped onion
  • 1 package taco seasoning
  • 1 package ranch seasoning (powdered)
  • 1 1/2 cups tomato juice
  • 1 - bag of corn (yellow or white)
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder

How To Make taco chili

  • Step 1
    Brown the ground beef with onions and drain
  • Step 2
    To one large pot add ground beef and tomato juice
  • Step 3
    Add black beans, pinto beans, kidney beans. DO NOT DRAIN!
  • Step 4
    Then add tomatoes, Rotel, taco seasoning, ranch seasoning, corn and chili powder
  • Step 5
    Bring to a boil while stiring and then turn down to low
  • Step 6
    Cover and simmer for at least 1 hour (the longer the better)
  • Step 7
    Top with •Fritos or Tortilla chips •Sour cream •Shredded cheese •green onion
