taco casserole

I have not made this for a very long time, but I came across this recipe and had to add it.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can enchilada sauce (10 oz?)
  • 1 can small jalapeno peppers
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 1 can 10 oz black olives, sliced
  • 1 cup grated cheedar cheese
  • 1-1/2 to 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 large bag taco chips; flavor of your choice.

How To Make taco casserole

  • Step 1
    Brown ground beef and drain; set aside. Saute finely chopped onion and put in drained ground beef.
  • Step 2
    In a large soup pot combine, cream of mushroom soups, enchilada sauce, jalepenos and simmer for 20 minutes. The add milk and simmer another 10 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Add the beef, onions and olives to the above mixture and bring to a boil.
  • Step 4
    Line the bottom of a large casserole dish with crushed taco chips. Pour hamburger mixture over the chips. Top with grated cheese.
  • Step 5
    Place in oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
