t-bone steak with 6666 sopping sauce
This is a delicious, steak seared and then basted with slopping sauce.

Ingredients
- 4 t-bone steaks
- salt and pepper
- olive oil
- 6666 SLOPPING SAUCE
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic
- 3 cans tomato paste (6 oz each)
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1/3 cup lemon juice
- 1 cup water
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- salt, to taste
How To Make t-bone steak with 6666 sopping sauce

Step 1Season the steaks with salt and pepper. Place them on a rimmed baking sheet with a rack. Let sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.

Step 2For the sauce, add the olive oil and garlic and cook about 1 minute. Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. reduce to a simmer.

Step 3Simmer until reduced and thickened about 10 minutes. Preheat oven 400 degrees.

Step 4Add oil to a cast iron pan and get it smoking hot. Sear the steaks about 2 minutes each side.

Step 5Place them back onto the prepared baking sheet. Repeat until all the steaks are seared. Brush the top with the slopping sauce.

Step 6Place in the oven. Cook 3 minutes and then turn and brush with slopping sauce and let cook another 3 minutes. Turn and brush one more time with the slopping sauce and cook 3 more minutes.

Step 7Remove the steaks from the oven and let rest for about 10 minutes for medium rare. If you like your steaks cooked more just leave in the oven longer.
