I got this recipe from my mother, although I don't know where she found it. I love, love, love my crock pot and this recipe is so easy to put together. I make this at least twice a month.

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp
    all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 1/2 lb
    boneless beef round steak, cut in six pieces
  • 1
    medium onion, sliced
  • 1
    celery rib, sliced
  • 2
    14-15 oz. cans of tomato sauce

How to Make Swiss Steak

Step-by-Step

  1. In a large resealable bag combine flour, salt and pepper. Add steak, seal bag and toss to coat. Place onion in a greased crock pot. Top with steak, celery, and tomato sauce. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
