This is one of my comfort foods.. It reminds me of my dad.. it was one of his recipes

Ingredients For swiss steak

5-6 lbchuck steak,
-
3 lgonions sliced

1 lggreen bell pepper sliced

1/2 bunchcelery, chopped

1 lgcan of v8 juice
How To Make swiss steak

1In a large roasting pan layer the chuck steak and the veggies.. salt and peppering each layer to taste.

2Pour over the V-8 Juice.

3Cover and bake in a 300 degree oven for 3-4 hours or until the meat is fork tender,
