swiss steak
(1 RATING)
This recipe was my Dad's and he made this often. I am simply going to list the ingredients and estimate the amounts he used. I have made this a lot over the years and I have to admit, I have done the same in the past.

How To Make swiss steak
-
Step 1Cut beef into pieces (doesn't matter how big) serving size and place in skillet. In a bowl add tomato sauce combinations you decide to use along with the herbs and mix together. Pour over the meat and cover all with water just enough to go over everything in skillet. Cook for 2 1/2 to 3 hours on a slow simmer. Don't cover as liquid needs to reduce. **Note: Meat doesnt need to be browned first.
