Ingredients
- 1 1/2 - lbs beef stew meat, cut into 1 inch cubes
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil
- 2 medium carrots shredded (1 cup)
- 2 medium onions sliced (1 cup)
- 1 8 ounces can tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 1 tablespoon worcester sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon cold water
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- - hot cooked noodles
How To Make sweet- sour beef stew

Step 1In a 3 qt sauce pan, brown half of the meat at a time in hot oil.

Step 2In the same pan combine the carrot, onion, tomato sauce, half cp water, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcester and salt.

Step 3Cover and cook over low heat till meat is tender (about 1 1/2 hours)

Step 4Blend 1 TBS cold water mixed with the cornstarch to the stew. Continue to cook and stir till thick and bubbly.

Step 5Serve over noodles
