Sweet Home Alabama Crockpot Cheeseburger Soup
Ingredients

3 lbground beef, turkey, venison, etc

5-6 cbeef broth or stock

1 chalf and half
-
·fresh ground pepper and kosher or sea salt, to taste

1/2 lbfrozen potato wedges, cooked to package directions

1onion, diced
-
1-3jalapeno peppers, diced(to taste- optional)

28 ozdiced tomatoes (i drained but others do not)
-
1 Tbspworcestershire sauce
-
1 Tbspdry mustard
-
1 tspgarlic powder
-
1/3 dash(es)heinz chili sauce (sub ketchup if you like )

·several drops liquid smoke

1 1/4 lbfavorite hard cheese(cheddar, colby, jack, etc...i used colby/jack in the soup then i used another 1/4lb of cheddar added at serving)

FOR GARNISH, OR OPTIONAL INGREDIENTS: CRISP BACON, FRENCH FRIED ONIONS
How to Make Sweet Home Alabama Crockpot Cheeseburger Soup
- Combine beef, stock, onion, peppers, tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, dill, liquid smoke, and chili sauce in slow cooker.
- Let cook on low about 4-5 hours, until beef is cooked and soup is well heated.
Add half and half and the first pound of cheese and stir well. Continue to heat on low - Place a few potato wedges in the bowl, add soup, then garnish with the bacon and fried onions, if using, and the extra cheese.
