Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 c
chopped oinions. i don't like onions so i use onion powder instead
  • 1 clove
    minced garlic
  • 1 can(s)
    kidney beans, undrained
  • 1 qt
tomatoe juice- i find the chili a bit thin so i use less juice
  • 1/2 tsp
    cumin
  • 1 tsp
    chili powder
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar

How to Make Sweet Chili

Step-by-Step

  1. In a large pot, cook beef, onions and garlic until meat is browned and crumbly
  2. Add remaining ingredients and simmer on low for 30 minutes or longer. The longer you simmer the chili, the thicker it will get.
  3. I find that at least an hour is best, 2 hours is great!
