sweet and sour meatballs
I found this in an old Taste of Home magazine. Something different for dinner and the ginger snaps are a surprise ingredient. very good and filling.

Ingredients
- 3 medium eggs
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 1 1/2 cups dry bread crumbs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- SAUCE
- 3 1/2 cups tomato juice
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 10 - ginger snaps, finely crushed
- 1/4 cup white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon onion salt
How To Make sweet and sour meatballs

Step 1In a large bowl combine the eggs, onion,bread crumbs and salt. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well.

Step 2Shape into 1 1/2 inch balls.

Step 3In a large frying pan heat the oil and brown meatballs, in batches. Transfer to a greased 9x13 inch baking pan

Step 4In a sauce pan combine all of the sauce ingredients, bring to a boil and stir until the cookie crumbs are completely dissolved

Step 5Pour mixture over meatballs bake in a preheated 350 degree oven 35-40 minutes.
