  • 2 lb
    beef chuck, boneless and cut in 1 inch cubes
  • 2/3 c
    all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1 large
    onion, chopped
  • 1/2 c
  • 1/4 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/4 c
    red wine vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1 c
  • 1 tsp
  • 4
    carrots, diagonally sliced
  • ·
    rice, cooked

How to Make Sweet and Sour Beef Over Rice


  1. Mix together flour, salt and pepper and dredge meat cubes in mixture.
  2. In a skillet, heat butter and olive oil and brown beef cubes.
  3. Place browned beef in the slow cooker.
  4. Add remaining ingredients except for carrots.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 9 hours or on high for 4 to 5 hours.
  6. Add carrots and cook on low 1 1/2 hours or on high for 30 minutes.
  7. Serve over rice or noodles.
