This is super easy and super quick. I also like to cut cut the tops off and empty the inside of the bell peppers. This way an individual can have a whole pepper.

green bell peppers
1 c
tomato-basil pasta sauce
3/4 lb
ground sirloin
1/4 c
chopped onion
1 tsp
dried italian seasoning
1 c
shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 tsp
1/4 tsp

How to Make Stuffed Peppers

  • 1Cut bell peppers in half length wise; discard seeds and membranes. Place bell pepper halves, cut side up, in an 11"x17" baking dish. Microwave at high 6-7 minutes or until tender.
  • 2While peppers cook, heat a large nonstick skillet over medium high heat. Cook beef and onion until browned, stirring to crumbled beef. Drain if necessary; return to pan.
  • 3Stir in dried Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, rice and pasta sauce. Cook 1-2 minutes or until warm, stirring occasionally.
  • 4Fill bell pepper halves with beef mixture; sprinkle evenly with cheese. Microwave at HIGH 2-3 minutes or until cheese melts.
