Ingredients

  • 1 pound flank steak
  • 1 cup soft whole wheat bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup celery, chopped
  • 1/4 cup carrots, chopped
  • 1/4 cup tomato, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon parsley flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme, powdered
  • 1 dash pepper
  • 2 tablespoons water

How To Make stuffed flank steak

  • Step 1
    Pound steak to tenderize.
  • Step 2
    Cut pocket in center of steak.
  • Step 3
    Combine remaining ingredients and mix well.
  • Step 4
    Stuff steak and secure opening with skewers.
  • Step 5
    Broil 3 inches from heat 3-4 minutes on each side, or longer to taste.
  • Step 6
    To serve cut thin slices diagonally across grain.
