lean ground beef
3/4 tsp
4 lb
green cabbage leaves (2 - 2 lb heads)
3 c
chopped onions
2 tsp
1/2 c
1/2 c
crushed crackers
2 bottle
chili sauce (12 ounce)
1 jar(s)
grape jelly
1/4 c

How to Make Stuffed Cabbage Rolls


  • 1Soften leaves by steaming in boiling salted water.
  • 2Chop onions and layer in bottom of greased pan
  • 3Combine beef, pepper, eggs, salt, ketchup and crackers. Shape into rolls
  • 4Wrap meat rolls with cabbage leaves. Place rolled cabbage on top of onions.
  • 5Mix together chili sauce, grape jelly and water as a sauce. Pour 1/2 of sauce over rolls.
  • 6Cover cabbage rolls tightly and bake 2 hrs at 300. Uncover, pour remaining sauce over and let bake 40 min.
