stuffed cabbage rolls
My mom always made this for us when I was growing up. I love cabbage, she made this dish during bad weather days. Especially on her bread making days with hot Parker House Rolls. Of which I carried on the tradition.

Ingredients
- 12 large cabbage leaves
- 1 1/4 pounds ground round or pork
- 2 teaspoons sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup rice (cooked)
- 1 small onion (chopped)
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning or thyme
- 2 tablespoons wesson oil
- 2 cans tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar, lightly packed
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup cold water
How To Make stuffed cabbage rolls

Step 1Place cabbage leaves in bowl and cover with boiling water let stand 5 minutes while preparing other ingredients.

Step 2Combine the next 7 ingredients. Place equal portions in the center of each leaf. Fold sides of leaf roll up and fasten with toothpick or string.

Step 3Brown Cabbage rolls in hot, very large skillet. Pour in tomato sauce, combine sugar, vinegar,and water. Pour half of the sauce on the bottom and place cabbage rolls in sauce, then pour the rest on top. Cover and Simmer 1 hour basting occasionally. Serve Hot.....
