This is a great dish to take to a potluck. Easy & delicous.

Ingredients

  • 1 package egg noodles, cooked & drained
  • 1-1 1/2 pounds ground beef or turkey
  • 1 - onion, chopped
  • 1 - green pepper, chopped
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1 can mushrooms, drained
  • 3-4 cups shredded mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • 12 ounces cottage cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream

How To Make strogonaff casserole

  • Step 1
    Brown the beef, drain. Add onions & peppers. Cover & simmer until tender.
  • Step 2
    Stir in broth, tomato paste, mushrooms & Italian seasoning. Set aside.
  • Step 3
    Combine sour cream, cottage cheese & garlic powder. Add noodles & combine.
  • Step 4
    Spread half of noodles into greased 9x13 baking dish.
  • Step 5
    Top with half of meat & half of cheeses.
  • Step 6
    Repeat layers, holding off on adding last layer of cheese.
  • Step 7
    Bake covered at 350' for 30 minutes.
  • Step 8
    Uncover, sprinkle on last layer of cheese. Bake uncovered for 15 more minutes.
