  • 3-4 lb
    beef chuck roast
  • ·
    butter for frying
  • 14 1/2 oz
    can petite diced tomatoes
  • 1 medium
    onion, diced
  • 2 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 2 stalk(s)
    celery, diced
  • 1 c
    red wine, dry, full bodied
  • 1 pkg
    brown gravy mix
  • 2 Tbsp
    steak seasoning

How to Make Stovetop Chuck Roast

Step-by-Step

  1. In a dutch oven or large, deep frying pan, brown roast in butter for 5 minutes on each side.
  2. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over roast and place on stove top. Cover and simmer for 3-4 hours.
