Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons peanut oil
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons dry sherry
- 2 tablespoons water
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 2 - garlic cloves, crushed
- 12 ounces sirloin steak, thinly sliced
- 1 - red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 - yellow bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 large onion, halved, sliced
- 1/4 pound mushrooms, quartered
How To Make stir fry beef with peppers & onion

Step 1Combine 1 tablespoon oil, soy sauce, sherry, water, cornstarch, sugar and garlic in a shallow nonmetal dish.

Step 2Add the steak strips.

Step 3Heat remaining tablespoon oil in wok or nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.

Step 4Add peppers, onion, mushrooms; stir-fry 3-5 minutes until tender-crisp.

Step 5Remove and reserve.

Step 6Add undrained steak to wok; stir-fry 2 minutes until no longer pink.

Step 7Return vegetables to wok; stir-fry to heat through.

Step 8Serve over rice.
