Yep I like cooking with beer.

I find it flavors the meat and gravy richly.

Ingredients

2 lb
good stew meat
3 Tbsp
raw organic butter or european butter

green bell peppers, clean and diced in to 1

red bell peppers, cleaned and diced into 1
1
small onion sliced
1
garlic clove, crushed
1 Tbsp
olive oil
salt and pepper
1
small can of beer
flour for drudging
4
large potatoes, clean, peeled and cut into quarters

How to Make Stew with Beer

Step-by-Step

  • 1Wet your stew meat in the beer and drudge in flour.
  • 2Heat a dutch oven on high heat and add the butter and oil. Brown the meat a little at a time.

    Return all meat to the dutch oven and add the beer, peppers, salt, pepper, and onion.

    Cover slightly and cook on a low heat until meat is tender. Adding more beer when needed.



    Add potatoes last 30 minutes of cooking.
