Another one of Ma's recipes found in her recipe file in NC in 2019, with no title. This one is mine, based on the ingredients, and can't wait to try it!

Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 bay leaf
  • chuck or arm roast
  • diced celery
  • mixed vegetables
  • chopped cabbage
  • noodles

How To Make stew, ma

  • Step 1
    Cook onion, bay leaf and roast in salted water until meat tender. Add diced celery when meat is done.
  • Step 2
    Remove meat, cool, trim fat. Cube and put in bowl. Cool liquid until grease is firm on top, remove all grease.
  • Step 3
    Add mixed vegetables, chopped cabbage and whatever you want. I added noodles.
  • Step 4
    Good to start night before and finish the next day. You can add whatever you want in the vegetable line...
