I used to make these all the time; I haven't for awhile now. One thing I can tell you is that these are worth making. We all love them. This recipe uses Country Style Spareribs!

Ingredients
- 3 pounds country style spare ribs, 3 inch lengths
- 1 medium onion, chopped fine
- 2 tablespoons white vinegar or apple cider
- 4 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or to taste)
- 1 cup catsup
- 3 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tablespoon ground mustard
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon celery salt
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper (or to taste)
How To Make steamed barbecued spareribs

Step 1Brown ribs on both sides in a skillet. Place the browned ribs in a large saucepan that has a cover. Mix remaining ingredients together and pour over browned ribs. Cook on high heat until ribs start steaming then reduce heat to a simmer. Cook until ribs are tender about 1 1/2 hours.

Step 2Keep ribs covered while simmering to keep liquid in.
