ground red pepper

butter
4 small
new york strip, 1 inch thick
1 dash(es)
freshly ground black pepper
1/4 c
water

parsley for garnish

How to Make Steak with Blue Cheese Dressing

Step-by-Step

  • 1Cook and stir cheese, garlic, wine and red pepper over low heat, stirring frequently, until cheese is melted.
  • 2Keep warm.
  • 3Heat butter in 12-inch skillet until hot.
  • 4Cook beef steaks over medium-high heat, turning once, until medium doneness, about 5 minutes on each side.
  • 5Sprinkle with pepper.
  • 6Remove from skillet and keep warm.
  • 7Add water to skillet.
  • 8Heat to boiling, stirring constantly to loosen browned bits.
  • 9Boil 2 minutes.
  • 10Stir pan juices into cheese mixture.
  • 11Pour over steaks.
  • 12Sprinkle with parsley.
