Ingredients

  • 8 ounces blue cheese, crumbled
  • 1 - garlic clove, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons dry white wine
  • 1 dash ground red pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 small new york strip, 1 inch thick
  • 1 dash freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 - parsley for garnish

How To Make steak with blue cheese dressing

  • Step 1
    Cook and stir cheese, garlic, wine and red pepper over low heat, stirring frequently, until cheese is melted.
  • Step 2
    Keep warm.
  • Step 3
    Heat butter in 12-inch skillet until hot.
  • Step 4
    Cook beef steaks over medium-high heat, turning once, until medium doneness, about 5 minutes on each side.
  • Step 5
    Sprinkle with pepper.
  • Step 6
    Remove from skillet and keep warm.
  • Step 7
    Add water to skillet.
  • Step 8
    Heat to boiling, stirring constantly to loosen browned bits.
  • Step 9
    Boil 2 minutes.
  • Step 10
    Stir pan juices into cheese mixture.
  • Step 11
    Pour over steaks.
  • Step 12
    Sprinkle with parsley.
