This is a recipe my whole family loves. It is very easy and so yummy with either egg noodles or rice. I have even made this while camping with great success.

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds cubed steak, cut into 1/2" strips
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1 can (29 oz.) diced tomatoes with basil, oregano, & garlic
  • 1 package dry beefy onion soup mix
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano, dried
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • - hot cooked egg noodles or rice

How To Make steak san marco

  • Step 1
    In a large electric skillet (set at 350 degrees), heat oil and red wine vinegar.
  • Step 2
    Add steak strips and cook until no longer pink.
  • Step 3
    Reduce heat to simmer (200 degrees); then add tomatoes (do not drain), soup mix, garlic, oregano, and black pepper. Cover and cook for about 1 1/2 hours until liquid is reduced and meat is very tender, stirring occasionally.
  • Step 4
    Serve over hot cooked egg noodles or rice.
