This is a recipe my whole family loves. It is very easy and so yummy with either egg noodles or rice. I have even made this while camping with great success.

Ingredients

  • 3 lb
    cubed steak, cut into 1/2" strips
  • 2 Tbsp
    vegetable oil
  • 2 Tbsp
    red wine vinegar
  • 1 can(s)
    (29 oz.) diced tomatoes with basil, oregano, & garlic
  • 1 pkg
    dry beefy onion soup mix
  • 2 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp
    oregano, dried
  • 1/2 tsp
    black pepper
  • ·
    hot cooked egg noodles or rice

How to Make Steak San Marco

Step-by-Step

  1. In a large electric skillet (set at 350 degrees), heat oil and red wine vinegar.
  2. Add steak strips and cook until no longer pink.
  3. Reduce heat to simmer (200 degrees); then add tomatoes (do not drain), soup mix, garlic, oregano, and black pepper. Cover and cook for about 1 1/2 hours until liquid is reduced and meat is very tender, stirring occasionally.
  4. Serve over hot cooked egg noodles or rice.
