I wanted to try something a little "light" to go with the Ricotta & Spinach Fritters I had made.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound petite sirloin steak, trimmed of excess fat and cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons montreal steak seasoning
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs, optional

How To Make steak bites

  • Step 1
    Heat a medium-sized skillet over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil. Once oil is hot, add the onion and let them cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Meanwhile, place bite-sized pieces of meat in a resealable plastic bag and add the Montreal steak seasoning. Seal bag an gently shake to get meat coated. If, desired, add the 1/4 cup of breadcrumbs to the bag and shake until lightly coated.
  • Step 3
    Add the steak to the onions in the skillet. Cook until meat is no longer pink. Drain on papertowels and serve warm.
