  • 1 lb
    roast beef, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 c
    picante sauce
  • 1/3 c
    red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 c
    olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 1/3 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/3 tsp
    black pepper
  • 4 large
    pita bread rounds
  • ·
    avocado, chopped
  • ·
    chopped tomato
  • ·
    chopped green bell pepper
  • ·
    feta cheese

How to Make Spicy Beef Pitas


  1. Place sliced beef in a plastic bag set inside a bowl.
  2. For marinade: In a medium bowl, combine picante, vinegar, oil, cilantro, garlic and pepper. Pour marinade over beef.
  3. Seal bag; marinate in the refrigerator for 4-24 hours, turning bag occasionally.
  4. To serve, drain and discard the marinade.
  5. Fill each pita half with beef.
  6. Top with chopped vegetables and feta cheese.
