    4 lbs. beef stew meat, cubed
  • ·
    2 cans tomato sauce, 8 oz. each
  • ·
    1 medium onion, chopped
  • ·
    1/2 cup white vinegar
  • ·
    1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • ·
    2 tsp. salt
  • ·
    1 tsp. minced garlic
  • ·
    1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon, optional
  • ·
    3/4 tsp. ground cloves, optional
  • ·
    12 sandwich buns

How to Make Spiced Beef Barbecue (Slow Cooker)


  1. Put beef in 5 quart slow cooker. Mix tomato sauce, next 5 ingredients and if desired, cinnamon and cloves; pour over beef.
  2. Cover and cook on high 1 hour; reduce heat to low and cook 7 to 8 hours. Remove beef from slow cooker. Shred with 2 forks. Return beef to slow cooker and stir into sauce. Serve on buns. Makes 12 servings.
