This was my grandmother's recipe. I loved eating this when I slept over.

  • 1-2 lb
    ground beef
  • 1
    green pepper
  • 1
  • 1 can(s)
    large can tomato sauce
  • 1 can(s)
    small can tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 c
    rice, uncooked
  • 1/2 tsp
    worcestershire sauce

How to Make Spanish Rice


  1. Brown beef and drain off fat.
  2. Chop pepper and onion in to small pieces.
  3. Mill all other ingredients with beef in large pot.
  4. Bring to a boil, cover then simmer 20-40 minutes until rice is tender. Add water if needed for rice to cook. Stir occasionally.
