this is a quick and easy family favorite, and we make it in bulk...this will make a lot! so plan to share

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds ground beef
  • 2 pounds bulk pork sausage
  • 5 cups instant white rice
  • 2 - green bell peppers
  • 2 - red bell peppers
  • 1 bottle tomato juice
  • 1/8 cup italian seasoning
  • 2-3 cups shredded cheddar cheese

How To Make spanish rice

  • Step 1
    chop the red and green peppers
  • Step 2
    in a large skillet cook the ground beef and sausage together with the Italian season, when it about half cooked, add the peppers while it finishes cooking. when meat is done, drain off excess grease.
  • Step 3
    once meat is done and drained, return to skillet or a stock pot, add the tomato juice and rice and mix it together. let it cook down until the rice is tender. add 2-3 cups of shredded cheddar cheese to taste
