This was always one of those go-to recipes for my mom when we were growing up. Whenever she would work late, she'd come home and whip this dish up. We loved it! It's so quick and easy!

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg
    hamburger
  • 1
    onion
  • 1
    green pepper
  • 1 box
    minute rice
  • 1 can(s)
    stewed tomatoes
  • 1 small
    jar spaghetti sauce
  • ·
    American Cheese or Velveeta

How to Make Spanish Rice

Step-by-Step

  1. Sautee onions and peppers.
  2. Add 1 small box of minute rice and can of stewed tomatoes. Let cook.
  3. Add small jar of spaghetti sauce. (Optional: add 1 tbs of sugar to spaghetti sauce).
  4. Cook until rice absorbs everything
  5. Layer with cheese.
  6. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes or until cheese is melted and firm.
