Ingredients

  • 1 pound very lean ground beef (90/10 works great)
  • 1 each green, yellow, and red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
  • 2 small potatoes, chopped into about 1/2 inch cubes
  • 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
  • 8 ounces can tomato sauce
  • 2/3 cup chopped spanish olives
  • 1 can mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce, i use old bay hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt
  • 1 teaspoon oregano, dried
  • 1/2 teaspoon cajun seasoning
  • 2 cups hot cooked rice

How To Make spanish beef hash

  • Step 1
    In a large stock pot or Dutch oven, over medium-high heat, cook ground beef, peppers, onion, and garlic until beef is cooked through. Stir occasionally to help break up the beef.
  • Step 2
    Add the rest of the ingredients, except rice, to pot. Stir well. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Stir well occasionally.
  • Step 3
    Serve with rice.
