Another recipe from yet another Aunt. She made the best spaghetti sauce. And why wouldn't she? She was full blood Italian and was a great cook. Her sauce is a little different than most, she made a sweet sauce.

Ingredients
- 2 cans 15 oz tomato sauce
- 1 can 6 oz tomato paste
- 1 pound lean ground beef (turkey or sausage if desired)
- 1 medium onion, finely diced
- 6-10 medium mushrooms; sliced
- 2 cloves garlic; garlic press
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 2 teaspoons oregano
- 1 teaspoon sweet basil
- 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 2 - bay leaves
How To Make spaghetti sauce - from aunt ann

Step 1In a skillet brown ground beef and drain. Saute diced onions, garlic, mushrooms in olive oil.

Step 2In a 6-8 Qt sauce pan combine beef, onions, garlic, & mushrooms. Add tomato sauce and paste along with 1 - 15 oz can water and 1 - 6 oz can water.

Step 3Add all remaining items and stirring well. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 3 to 4 hours. Check on every 30 minutes or so and stir.
