great casserole. Love the Southwestern spices. Really gives the casserole nice flavor.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces spaghetti
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 1 pound ground beef, or ground venison
  • 1/2 - red bell pepper and yellow bell pepper chopped
  • 2 - jalapenos seeded and chopped
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon new mexico red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon each cumin and mexican oregano
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 - 8 oz cans tomato sauce
  • 1 cup each shredded monterey jack cheese and sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro chopped

How To Make southwestern baked spaghetti

  • Step 1
    Cook spaghetti in salted water and drain. Mix milk and egg together and stir in the spaghetti. Pour spaghetti in a buttered 9 x 13 casserole pan. Preheat oven 425 degrees.
  • Step 2
    Brown the beef with the onion, garlic, pepper, and jalapeno. Drain. Add meat back to pan. Stir in spices. Add the tomato sauce and cook 2 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Pour over spaghetti and top with cheese and cilantro. Bake for about 15 minutes. Until cheese is bubbly and melted.
