I cooked up this little recipe one night when I wanted to make lasagna but realized I had everything but the pasta sauce. In a moment of inspiration I grabbed the taco seasoning and went about making my southwest lasagna.

It was a big hit with my family and it is staying on the menu! I hope you enjoy it as well

Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 can(s)
    campbell's cheddar cheese soup
  • 1 pkg
    old el paso taco seasoning
  • 1 small
    tomato dieced
  • 6 medium
    sliced black olives
  • 1/2 pkg
    lasagna noodles, cooked
  • 3 c
    shredded cheese (taco)

How to Make Southwest lasagna

Step-by-Step

  1. Cooked Ground Beef until brown, add tomatoes and black olives.
  2. Add taco seasoning still until well blended,
  3. Pour Cheddar Cheese soup into medium mixing bowl and add one cup of milk stir (or whisk) until creamy. Then pour soup into beef and stir together
  4. Preheat oven to 325 degrees
  5. In Casserole dish place a layer of lasgana noodles, then add beef mixture to coat the noodles then Cheese alternate until desired thickness is reached.
  6. Place in oven and bake for 20 mins uncovered
