Ingredients

  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 package onion soup mix
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1 - egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup water

How To Make souper meat loaf

  • Step 1
    Mix thoroughly 1/2 cup mushroom soup, onion soup mix, beef, crumbs and egg.
  • Step 2
    In 2 quart oblong baking dish, firmly shape into 8x4" loaf.
  • Step 3
    Bake at 350 for 1 1/4 hours or until done.
  • Step 4
    Spoon off fat; reserve 1-2 tablespoon drippings.
  • Step 5
    In 1 quart saucepan, combine remaining mushroom soup, water and reserved drippings.
  • Step 6
    Over low heat, heat through, stirring occasionally.
