When I was growing up, my mom would place a chuck roast in aluminum foil, cover it with a mixture of cream of mushroom soup, and a package of onion soup. Then bake it in the oven for a few hours. After I got married, I adapted it for the crockpot. My husband likes my version even better!

Step-by-Step

  • 1Place beef chuck roast in the bottom of crockpot.
  • 2Mix together all ingredients, except potatoes.
  • 3Cover beef chuck roast with soup mixture.
  • 4Add potatoes and cook for 6 hours.
