Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup celery, chopped
  • 4 cups herb stuffing cubes
  • 1.5 cups milk
  • 2 - eggs
  • 10.75 ounces cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

How To Make souper baked sandwich

  • Step 1
    Heat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • Step 2
    Cook and stir the meat, onion and celery in a large skillet until the meat is brown.
  • Step 3
    Drain off the excess fat.
  • Step 4
    Stir in the salt.
  • Step 5
    Arrange the stuffing cubes in a greased 9x9x2 inch baking pan and top with the meat mixture.
  • Step 6
    Beat the milk, eggs, soup and mustard together and pour over the meat.
  • Step 7
    Then sprinkle with the cheese and bake uncovered until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean, about 30 to 40 minutes.
  • Step 8
    Cool for 5 minutes and then cut into squares and serve.
