sos for one
(1 RATING)
Since my hubby doesn't like SOS, I make enough just for me!! SOS aka Same Old Stuff or S--- on a Shingle. My dad was a Marine and made it all the time when I was growing up. He'd serve it on toast with a fried egg on top. Sometimes he'd fry diced potatoes to serve on the side. This is good any time of the day and is one of my favorite recipes. A cheap and filling meal. - 1 1/2 tablespoons flour
- - salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste
- - some chopped onion
- 1 cup milk
- - couple drops of soy sauce for color and flavor
How To Make sos for one
-
Step 1In a saucepan, brown the meat with the chopped onion, add the spices and the flour. Let it cook a little, then add the milk and let it cook until thick. Then add a little soy sauce. This is so good on toast with a fried egg on top, just how my dad made it.
