My husband is a rather picky eater but this was a recipe he personally asked for when his sister fixed it as a "thank you" meal for helping with her move. That was high praise indeed from him so I had to get the recipe!

3 lb
boneless chuck roast (or sirloin or rump roast)
1 tsp
garlic salt
1 tsp
oregano, dried
2 tsp
seasoned pepper
1 tsp
onion salt
1 tsp
basil, dried
2 tsp
seasoned salt (like accent)
beef bouillon cubes
16 oz
italian giardiniera, mild

How to Make Slow Cooker Italian Beef


  • 1Place roast and other ingredients in slow cooker.
  • 2Add water to cover meat. Cook on low for 7-8 hours.
  • 3Remove meat and shred, returning meat to slow cooker for one more on hour on low heat.
  • 4Serve on GOOD Italian bread with mozzarella cheese and mild banana peppers, if desired.
