My husband is a rather picky eater but this was a recipe he personally asked for when his sister fixed it as a "thank you" meal for helping with her move. That was high praise indeed from him so I had to get the recipe!

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds boneless chuck roast (or sirloin or rump roast)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon oregano, dried
  • 2 teaspoons seasoned pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion salt
  • 1 teaspoon basil, dried
  • 2 teaspoons seasoned salt (like accent)
  • 2 - beef bouillon cubes
  • 16 ounces italian giardiniera, mild

How To Make slow cooker italian beef

  • Step 1
    Place roast and other ingredients in slow cooker.
  • Step 2
    Add water to cover meat. Cook on low for 7-8 hours.
  • Step 3
    Remove meat and shred, returning meat to slow cooker for one more on hour on low heat.
  • Step 4
    Serve on GOOD Italian bread with mozzarella cheese and mild banana peppers, if desired.
