I'm not a fan of store bought meatballs, so I created this sweet & tangy slow cooker version using homemade meatballs. Preparing them in the slow cooker couldn't be easier!

Ingredients

  • 1 c
    milk
  • 3/4 c
    quick oats
  • 3 Tbsp
    finely chopped onion
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    fine black pepper
  • 2 lb
    lean ground beef
  • 1 c
    ketchup
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 1/4 c
    bbq sauce (sweet baby ray's)
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar, firmly packed

How to Make Slow Cooker Homemade Meatballs

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine the first 5 ingredients. Crumble Beef over mixture & mix well. Roll into 1-2 inch balls & place in slow cooker.
  2. In separate bowl, combine Ketchup, Water, BBQ Sauce, and Brown Sugar. Pour over meatballs. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the meat is no longer pink.
