Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 pounds beef sirloin tips, cut into strips
  • 1/2 cup shallots, chopped
  • 2 cans mushrooms, sliced, (4 ounces), drained
  • 10.5 ounces condensed beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons tomato paste
  • 1/4 - dry red wine
  • 3 tablespoons flour

How To Make slow cooker beef tips

  • Step 1
    Combine 1/2 cup flour with the salt and pepper and toss with beef cubes to coat throughly.
  • Step 2
    Place in crockpot.
  • Step 3
    Add shallots and mushrooms.
  • Step 4
    Combine beef broth, worcestershire sauce and tomato paste.
  • Step 5
    Pour over beef and vegetables; stir well.
  • Step 6
    Cover and cook on low for 8 to 12 hours or on high for 4 to 6 hours.
  • Step 7
    One hour before serving, turn to high setting.
  • Step 8
    Make a smooth paste of red wine and 3 tablespoons flour; stir into crockpot, mixing well.
  • Step 9
    Cover and cook until thickened.
  • Step 10
    Serve over hot buttered noodles.
