How To Make slow cooker beef short ribs with gravy
-
Step 1Place the short ribs in the slow cooker. Add the onions and garlic. Mix the beef broth with the red wine, thyme, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, and bay leaves. Pour over the meat and let cook on low for 8 hours.
-
Step 2Remove the meat from the slow cooker. Strain the stock into a fat separator discarding the solids. Defat the stock. Place the gravy in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Mix the cornstarch with the water and whisk it into the gravy to thicken it.
-
Step 3To plate, add the mashed potatoes. Place the meat on top and drizzle with the gravy.
