Ingredients
- 4 pounds beef brisket
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- RUB
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons ground mustard
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- BBQ SAUCE
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups ketchup
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons mustard powder
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
How To Make slow cooker beef brisket with bbq sauce

Step 1Mix the ingredients for the rub together and rub over the brisket. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.

Step 2Place the ingredients for the BBQ sauce in a slow cooker and mix well. Remove the plastic from the brisket and place it into the BBQ sauce and push it down. Cook on low for 9 1/2 hours.

Step 3Remove the brisket to a baking sheet. Place the liquid in a saucepan and skim off the fat. Bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and reduce by half.

Step 4Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Drizzle the olive oil over the brisket and place in the oven for 15 minutes to crisp up the outside.

Step 5Slice against the grain and serve with the BBQ sauce.
