  • 4 lb
    beef brisket
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • RUB
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 2 tsp
    paprika
  • 2 tsp
    salt
  • 2 tsp
    ground mustard
  • 1 tsp
    onion powder
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    cayenne pepper
  • BBQ SAUCE
  • 4 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 2 c
    ketchup
  • 1/2 c
    apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar
  • 2 tsp
    mustard powder
  • 2 tsp
    onion powder
  • 1 tsp
    cayenne pepper
  • 1 Tbsp
    Worcestershire sauce

How To Make slow cooker beef brisket with bbq sauce

    Mix the ingredients for the rub together and rub over the brisket. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.

    Place the ingredients for the BBQ sauce in a slow cooker and mix well. Remove the plastic from the brisket and place it into the BBQ sauce and push it down. Cook on low for 9 1/2 hours.

    Remove the brisket to a baking sheet. Place the liquid in a saucepan and skim off the fat. Bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and reduce by half.

    Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Drizzle the olive oil over the brisket and place in the oven for 15 minutes to crisp up the outside.

    Slice against the grain and serve with the BBQ sauce.
