My husband goes crazy when I make these sloppy joes! They are also a favorite amongst the neighbors and co-workers as well. So simple and yummy. You won’t be disappointed with this recipe!

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 large red bell pepper, diced
- 1 - onion, diced
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 cups ketchup
- 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
- 3/4 cup water
- 2 teaspoons chili powder, or more as needed
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes, or more as needed
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 4-5 dashes worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- - siracha sauce to taste optional (i do 1/2 tsp.)
- - salt and peper to taste
How To Make sloppy joes

Step 1Start by browning the ground beef in a large pot over medium-high heat. Drain off the fat.

Step 2Add onions, red pepper, and garlic. Cook until vegetables begin to get soft

Step 3Add ketchup, brown sugar, chili powder, dry mustard, Worcestershire, tomato paste, red pepper flakes, and water; also add the siracha if desired. Stir to combine and simmer for 15min, add salt and pepper to taste. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.

Step 4Place mixture between a buttered and toasted bun and enjoy!
