(1 RATING)
Can't take credit for this recipe. I pinched this from Paula Deen! It's so different than the traditional "Sloppy Joes", and so delicious, just had to share!

Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 2-3 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup campbells french onion soup
- 1 medium onion, sliced into rings
- - white bread (the sturdy kind like italian or sourdough)
- - yellow mustard
- - mayonnaise
How To Make sloppy joes
-
Step 1In a medium skillet over medium high heat, brown ground beef and drain.
-
Step 2Return ground beef to skillet and sprinkle in 2-3 tbsp flour.
-
Step 3Add onion soup (I also drain out remaining onions from remaining soup and add to beef mixture but this is up to you - I think it gives it more flavor), stir, and cook until meat mixture is thickened and most of the liquid absorbed.
-
Step 4Take off heat
-
Step 5Spread mayo and mustard on both slices of bread, spoon ground beef mixture on to bread and top with sliced onion rings.
