THIS RECIPE CAME FROM MY MOTHER-IN-LAW WHO USE TO BE A SCHOOL COOK AND SHE GAVE ME THIS RECIPE, ONE NIGHT I WANTED SOMETHING SIMPLE AND FAST TO COOK AND IT WAS SO GOOD, I THINK I ATE THE MOST OF THE SLOPPY MIXTURE : )

Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    lean ground beef
  • 1/4 c
    onion, chopped
  • 1/4 c
    green pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 c
    ketchup
  • 3 tsp
    brown sugar
  • 1 tsp
    yellow mustard
  • 1 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 c
    water

How to Make SLOPPY JOE

Step-by-Step

  1. IN A LARGE SKILLET, BROWN THE GROUND BEEF, ONION AND GREEN PEPPER. DRAIN AND RETURN TO SKILLET. ADD THE GARLIC POWDER, SALT, PEPPER, KETCHUP, BROWN SUGAR, MUSTARD, WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE AND WATER. STIR WELL, COVER, REDUCE HEAT AND COOK 20 MINUTES.
  2. SERVE ON TOASTED BUNS.
