This was worth sharing from the Food Network. This for me is by far the best sloppy joe recipe I have come across. You can omit the hot dogs of course. But, I think that's what makes this dish special. Tater tots are the perfect side dish too. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp
    vegetable oil
  • 2 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 pkg
    hot dogs, sliced 1/2 inch thick
  • 1 medium
    onion,diced
  • 1 Tbsp
    steak seasoning
  • 1 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 3 Tbsp
    dark brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 3 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1 can(s)
    (14.5 oz) tomato sauce

How to Make Sloppy Joe DiMaggio's

Step-by-Step

  1. Heat oil in a large pan and saute onion and ground beef until onions are translucent and beef is no longer pink. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  2. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 20 minutes. Serve on crusty steak rolls or your favorite rolls. Enjoy!
