Ingredients

  • 1 pound extra lean ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup whole kernel corn, drained
  • 1 - onion, sliced in whole slices
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups diced tomatoes

How To Make skillet meal

  • Step 1
    Cook the ground beef, salt and pepper until beef is crumbled and brown. Stir frequently. Drain off any fat.
  • Step 2
    Cover meat with corn, and top the corn with the whole onion slices. Sprinkle the onion with the other 1/2 tsp. salt.
  • Step 3
    Add the tomatoes. DO NOT STIR! Leave vegetables in layers over the meat. Cook and simmer covered for 20-30 minutes, until the onions are transluscent. Serve from the skillet.
