SKILLET HOT DISH
1 can(s)corn, drained
1 can(s)cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
1 1/2 cinstant rice
1 1/2 can(s)water
1/4 conion, chopped fine
1 Tbspchili powder
How to Make SKILLET HOT DISH
- In a large skillet, brown the hamburger and onion. Pour off grease (I drain mine on paper towels). Add the soup, water, chili powder, corn, and salt. Bring to a boil.
- Add rice to pan, and mix carefully with a wooden spoon into other mixture. Reduce heat and let SIMMER until desired consistency, about 10 minutes or so.
Additional ingredients that can be used: 1 can of mushrooms, or a small can of stewed tomatoes instead of the corn.
- I always served with either Italian or French bread and a green salad. It was a filling meal, and took less than 30 minutes to complete.
